Microneedling
What is Mirconeedling?
Microneedling activates cellular regeneration to help tighten and lift skin, while minimizing common skin problems such as acne scars, fine lines, aging skin, dull skin, poor texture, stretch marks and body scars. Using our Collagen P.I.N., with Hyaluronic acid or platelet rich plasma (PRP) microneedling is a method of introducing a controlled “wound” into the skin, triggering a release of growth factors, new collagen & elastin. This process causes much less damage to the epidermis than dermal rolling or lasers or other ablative treatments, which helps to protect the new skin cell growth, providing for quicker healing and a much higher success rate.
What is Mirconeedling with PRP?
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is produced from an individual’s own blood. After a blood sample is obtained from a patient, the blood is put into a centrifuge, which is a tool that separates the PRP from the blood. The blood is spun for approximately 15 minutes. PRP contains highly concentrated amounts of natural growth factors and other cytokines that promote the regeneration process of soft tissues. The PRP is applied directly to the channels that were created from the micro-needling to further stimulate the natural healing process and creation of collagen. See optimal results with three or more treatments at least four weeks apart.

FAQs

Collagen Induction Therapy (Microneedling) can be used on all skin types to address a variety of concerns.
Most areas of the body can be treated unless your medical provider determines otherwise. We will treat the face, décolletage, arms, abdomen, neck, hands, legs, and back.
A sterile disposable needle cartridge, holding either 12 or 36 micro-needles is glided across the skin with the hand held Collagen P.I.N. device that mechanically induces a micro injury to the desired depth chosen for your skin by your technician. The Collagen P.I.N. creates micro channels which allows serums and, if you choose, platelet rich plasma (P.R.P) to reach the true targeted area’s, producing much more efficacious results.
Most all patients see results after the first treatment. Individual results vary depending on individual skin health. It is most common to begin to see true changes or positive results as soon as 1-2 weeks after the first treatment. Many patients comment on positive changes in even less time. Often, change is noted within just a few days!!!
When preparing for your microneedling procedure, it is important that you adhere to certain guidelines so that you obtain optimal results.

- Avoid sun exposure to the area to be treated for 24 hours prior.
